ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR
SECAUCUS, OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT
Since 1968, Integrity, Inc has provided the most comprehensive and successful rehabilitation service for ex-offenders and individuals with drug and alcohol related problems in the state of New Jersey. We are CARF accredited and are recognized nationwide. We are experts in providing residential and intensive outpatient services to the community. We are seeking an Admissions Counselor in our Secaucus location to work twenty hours during the day. The incumbent is responsible for screening and assessing applicants for long term treatment and performing all necessary case management functions leading up to admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Screen and assess applicants to determine their appropriateness for long-term residential treatment; and consult with multi-disciplinary staff regarding clients with medical and mental health problems.
Collaborate with applicants and their referral sources to procure required documentation, including applicable medical and mental health records and financial information.
Perform bio-psychosocial and LOCI (Level of Care Index) assessments, diagnostic impressions, and interpretive summaries at the time of admission.
Maintain close, reciprocal relationships with referral and funding sources, including Drug Court, AOC, MAP, Federal Probation/Pre-trail, and various community-based treatment programs
Requirements
Undergraduate Degree in Human/Social Services or related field.
Graduate Degree in Human/Social Services or related field preferred.
Minimum of one to three (1-3) years experience in Human/Social Services.
CADC
Actively pursuing CADC or LSW.
Valid Drivers license required
Effective communications (verbal, written and listening) skills and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of standard substance abuse assessment tools.
Great time management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel).
