Dear RICHARD,
Spring
is coming and the rebirth we associate with this season is
welcome, especially after all the snow we have dumped on us this past
winter!
As
we prepare for spring, the Board is working on ways to enhance our
field with efforts to insure that Addiction
Professionals remain in the forefront of substance use
prevention, treatment, supervision and recovery. We will be
announcing a date for our inaugural membership meeting in next
month's newsletter and are lining up speakers who I trust will be
interesting.

Call for Interns! CTTS, CADC Saint
Barnabas Healthcare System is participating with the Joint Commission
Pilot Program for the new Tobacco and Alcohol standards. We would
like to work with interns that are interested in an opportunity to help
grow and develop a new program from the ground up. We are looking
for people to begin ASAP and the project will last for six months.
We're
excited about the possibility of shaping Joint Commission Standards and
the state of Tobacco and Alcohol treatment in inpatient settings and
want to share that enthusiasm with dedicated individuals that want to
learn more. Our program design is leaning heavily towards the
Tobacco side when it comes to service delivery so let us know if you
want to build your resume, learn more about the inner workings of the
Largest Health Care System in New Jersey and work closely with
National, Statewide (New Jersey), and Local elements of a comprehensive
tobacco control program.
Masters level interns are welcome to
inquire. Please contact me via e-mail or at the number below if
you are interested in Northern New Jersey opportunities and in Southern
New Jersey contact:
