The Certification Board met earlier this month and approved the new Associate Prevention Specialist. This important credential is available to those who provide the essential community outreach and training to combat substance abuse in our state. The new application will be posted in July at www.certbd.com.

There is also a new Instructor Registration process that will start July 1st. This will help Approved Instructors market to the Approved Education Providers who often have difficulty finding approved instructors. Go to this link click for the application if you are a trainer and go to this site to see the list of approved instructors.
There will be a $50 fee per quarter fee to post your approval on the website and in our monthly newsletter.

If you are a CCS who has not yet passed the written exam, please note that you must do so by your first recertification or lose your CCS until you pass. Additionally, this waiver will no longer be offered for future training as of  the December 2010 Board meeting, meaning after that time the existing waiver will end and you will have to pass the CCS exam prior to obtaining your in state certification.  The ICCS, which is the ICRC reciprocal CCS remains the same test requirement as it currently stands, which requires passing the CS exam.
