Just a Nickel a Gallon!
Gaining Access to Addiction Treatment - One Nickel at a Time
This campaign is sponsored by the Parent to Parent Coalition, with the intent of
focusing attention on addiction treatment by making lawmakers aware that additional
funds can be obtained by raising the alcohol tax by a nickel on a gallon and dedicating that
revenue for addiction treatment. Two of their objectives focus attention on the fact that:
1 - Addiction is a treatable disease and 2 - Treatment works.
More information can be found at www.justanickel.org.

Important to Note!
The Certification Board does not handle or approve either the LCADC or CADC applications.
Those applications are handled by the Division of Consumer Affairs, therefore,
if you are applying for either a CADC or a LCADC, those applications need to be
sent to DCA and NOT the Certification Board.
Reminder to Approved Providers!
The Renewal course that is required for all CADC's and LCADC's, MUST be approved and given
an approval number by the Certification Board. Without this approval number, credits given will not count
toward recertification, as per Certification Board procedures. Those approved so far can be found
here!
"Return Receipt" Necessary!
The Certification Board (APCBNJ, Inc.) requires a "Return Receipt" (the green post card from the Post Office) to be used by the applicant to verify receipt of all information sent to the Board. The Board will NOT respond to phone or email inquiries regarding receipt of documents, therefor, if an applicant needs to know if the Board has received their information, a return receipt is required.
Please Pass-Along to Recent LCADC/CADC's
If you know someone who has recently obtained a LCADC/CADC and would like to be included on our email list,
please have them contact us at web@certbd.com, and they will receive the latest news from the
Certification Board and the Foundation.

Any suggestions for your fellow counselors, therapists and other treatment professionals?

addiction and behavioral health concerns.
